Smallbrook School is a specialist school provision set in the heart of the Shropshire countryside. We welcome students with behavioural, emotional, social, learning needs, or a combination of them to reengage in their education with us.
We think of our school as a family and what better way for student to be able to learn in a safe and nurturing environment with small class sizes and often one to one support.
Each student is treated as an individual and we work with them, their families and carers to ensure we develop a learning and support plan that is tailored to their specific needs. Our students are therefore well poised to achieve the best outcomes through this ‘person centred’ approach.
We have a well-defined integrated approach across education, care, therapy and parents, and we work towards common and agreed goals with our strategies therapeutically applied.
The education we provide gives our students the experience of achievement as well as the qualifications they need to get on in the world. The school promotes a safe and supportive learning environment in which students are valued and can clearly see our high expectations of them.
Older students can access our specialist vocational training courses to pursue nationally accredited qualifications, such as motor vehicle, catering, construction and hairdressing within a purpose-designed learning environment.
As well as day student placements, we can offer an integrated care, education and clinical services package (subject to availability in our wider company).
